Art
From Madeline-
At an early age, Michael liked to draw. When he was twelve, he won a blue ribbon for a pen and ink drawing of a wharf in downtown Downey, California. As he was always a student of everything around him, all art forms, it became his natural notebook. He has used all types of media, pen, pencil, drawing, painting, photography, oils, and murals using house paint, block printing, clay sculpture, and taxidermy thrown in. He loves the creative process, which is reflected in his work. We have a book with 121 images, many in color, for anyone wishing to view one man’s many talents and attention to detail. He told visitors and me in our home the inspirations of why he chose a particular subject, and I recorded them in the book. Michael has won many awards during his artistic endeavors, including Best of Show, several times and at several different locations in a wide variety of art. I am happy to have many of these creations adorning the walls of our home.
